Short Stories Restaurant

Short Stories Restaurant, located in the heart of the Fairfax District, offers a vibrant seasonal menu celebrating Executive Chef Ariel Malone's unique multicultural background. A culturally-blended cuisine concept highlighting Mediterranean and Southern American flavors and influences from Chef Ariel’s background, the new menu is Malone’s homage to comfort food with a twist. Signature dishes include Cornbread Poppers, Masala Hummus, Berbere Spiced Wings, Kofta Pita, Israeli Wedge Salad, Shmutz Burger, and Clay Pot Chicken. Classic craft cocktails made with global flavors accentuate the dining experience, including a Tahini Old Fashioned, Mezcal Margarita, and Stories Sidecar. An original eclectic menu at an approachable price point for West Hollywood, the restaurant also offers vegan and vegetarian items, inviting tasting palettes of all kinds. The menu is coupled by Short Stories’ intimate personalized service approach, intended to evoke a feeling of a dinner invitation from a friend or being welcomed into an inviting kitchen. Guests are encouraged to dine at the beautiful connected dining spaces, from the warm and inviting interior space highlighted with terracotta colors and earthy woods with touches of old warm charm, to the exterior courtyard, set beneath a canopy of three large Sumac Trees.

While the restaurant is our most formal dining option, in true LA style, there’s no dress code or fussy requirements. The intimate dining room can fill quickly, reservations are recommended.
